Sudan at a Turning Point: Humanitarian Emergency and the Urgent Call to End the War and Protect Women and Girls

On 9 February 2026, the All Party Parliamentary Group on Women, Peace & Security (APPG-WPS), in collaboration with Forward Thinking's Women for a Sustainable Future (WSF) network, convened a House of Lords roundtable on Sudan.

The event was chaired by Baroness Hodgson of Abinger, co-chair of the APPG-WPS, and led by Sudanese civil society leaders, Ibtisam El Doma and Aisha Hamad, based in Sudan and Ethiopia respectively; Dr Eva Khair, Founder and Director of the Women4Sudan Campaign; and Peter Oborne, award-winning journalist and broadcaster.
