UK Government Consultations on the 20th Anniversary of UNSCR 1325 in 2020 and the 2019 UK-Hosted PSVI International Conference: South Sudan consultation

In 2019, the UK Government funded GAPS and its partners to undertake consultations on Women, Peace and Security to mark the 20th anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 in 2020. CARE International South Sudan worked with Community Initiative for Development Organization (CIDO), a women’s rights organisation, to hold consultations with South Sudanese civil society organisations. Ahead of the consultation, CARE, CIDO, Women Development Group and Women Empowerment Centre collected responses to a set of UK Government questions. This was done in Torit County (Eastern Equatoria State), Wau County (Wau State) and Bor County (Jonglei State).

This report is part of a series of eight consultations that GAPS, its members and national partners have undertaken with the UK Government.
